Halloween!!!

It's the cat in the hat and we're off to have fun

To get candy and sugar and walk 'round with Mum!

Witches and spiders and critters abound

Smiling and laughing and acting like clowns

This sweet purple witch was so pretty and sweet

A lovelier ghoul you're not likely to meet

And a princess wheeled 'round in her chariot on wheels

and even a witch wearing spiders who squeal!

But the Cat in the hat was just biding his time

till we went trick or treating in weather so fine

We knocked on the doors with a rat-a-tat-tat

And they gave us some candy, just...like...that

Then the cat went and sat in a great electric chair

that the bald guy had said would curl up his hair

But the cat was just tired and wanted to sit

and re-energize his tired little body for a bit

The crowds thronged the streets and were laughing with glee

at each decorated house, yard and garden, and tree!

A quick stop for sugar was the order of the night

it helped to add energy to this small fading light

Soon the Cat and the witch (who was now a princess)

Found themselves a bit tired so they sat down to rest

The Halloween Eve had drawn to a end

and these sweet little people off to bed we did send

But just before midnight a strange creature appeared

It was Mummy who somehow had grown quite the beard!
